Makes me think of late summer. I can smell the grass and feel the heat of the sun.

She's beautiful.

I like Bouguereau.

This painting is in SF. I framed a print of it for my dad, who liked it too.

Remember Wiz? He hated Bouguereau. He would rant about him.

Can't see it.

Thanks, Bela. Very very nice. I might start posting pre-raphaelite paintings again !

[Ailbhe]Ailbhe - Mar 8, 2010 10:53 pm (#148 of 153) Reply

I once mentioned to Wiz that I liked pre-raphaelite paintings, and he read me the riot act. I skulked away, mortified by his opinion of my taste, and never posted there again . . .

Wiz was very temperamental...after all, he was an artist...

I got into it with him but good over his bigoted religious views. He seriously needed a huge-ass mug of "get the fuck over yourself."

A person's taste in art is not something to be ridiculed...unless, of course, it runs to velvet paintings of Elvis from Tijuana.

Molly - Mar 9, 2010 4:39 pm (#152 of 153) Reply

(We are passively seeking a velvet Mona Lisa for the shop. The first cheap one we find will be hanging there.)

I could probably find you one on any weekend down here...;-)
